Dr. Ibrahim O. Salawu of the Department of Politics and Governance has been appointed Sub Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Kwara State University.


The letter conveying the Acting Vice-Chancellor’s approval of the appointment was dated March 20, 2024, and signed by the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee.
Before this appointment, Dr. Salawu was the postgraduate programme coordinator of the Department of Politics and Governance and had garnered vast experience in the banking and telecommunications sectors before joining the service of the University in 2012.
He is currently a senior lecturer who teaches and supervises students’ research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Political Science in 2002 and an M.Sc. Political Science in 2010 from the University of Ilorin before obtaining his Ph.D. in Political Science in 2016 from the International Islamic University, Malaysia.
