A father was left devastated after discovering his sons had secretly dropped out of school for three years while still collecting money from him for their education.
Discovering Sons Dropped Out of School
A man was left heartbroken after traveling from Ghana to Nigeria to check on his sons’ academic progress, only to discover a painful truth about their education. The emotional moment reportedly happened in a school office where the father had gone to make inquiries about the boys.
According to reports, the father and the children’s mother live in Ghana while their sons were supposed to be studying in Nigeria. For about three years, he had been asking them to send updates about their academic progress, but they allegedly kept giving him false information.
When the man visited the school, officials retrieved the students’ records and discovered that although the boys gained admission and their first-year fees were paid, they later had carryovers and eventually abandoned their studies completely.
Despite dropping out, the sons allegedly continued to request money from their parents every month. The father, who had been sending ₦300,000 regularly for their upkeep and other expenses, reportedly broke down in tears after the truth was revealed.
