Federal College of Education (FCE Zaria) Notice On Easter Public Holiday.


The Federal Government has declared Friday 3rd April, 2026 and Monday, 6th April, 2026 as Public Holidays to mark this year’s Easter Celebration.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.
Consequently, the University will be close for official duties and Academic activities on Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April, 2026 respectively. However members of staff on special duties are expected to report to work during the public holiday.
All members of staff, teaching and non-teaching are to resume duty on Tuesday, 7th April, 2026.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure and the Management wish all Christians a peaceful Easter Celebration.
The Vice Chancellor also urge the University Community to use the period to pray for peacefull Co-existance of the University and the Country at large.
