Federal polytechnic, Idah Appoints New Substantive Registrar, Dr. Olusegun Adepoju Oniyide.
The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi State has approved the appointment of Dr. Olusegun Adepoju Oniyide as the substantive Registrar of the Polytechnic with effect from 11th July, 2023 for a single tenure of 5 years.
Before his appointment, he was a Deputy Registrar and a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru FNSE, the 5th Substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.
Dr. Oniyide had First School Leaving Certificate from Egbado South Local Government School Ilobi in 1976 and GCE ‘O’ level results in 1980. He had Bachelor Degree in Education/Social Studies in 1994, he had M. Ed in Educational Management in 2001, he had a certificate in Computer Operations and Applications in 2009 and bagged Ph.D in Educational Management from University of Ilorin in 2022.
Dr. Olusegun Oniyide an indigene of Egbado South now Yewa South Local Government Area in Ogun State joined the service of the Federal Polytechnic Offa on 3rd April, 1995 as an Administrative Officer II and rose through the ranks to become a Deputy Registrar on 1st July, 2011.
As an excellent administrator and a technocrat, he has served the Polytechnic in different capacities including member of different management’s committees. He served as an Admission Officer from 2005-2010 and had received many commendation letters from the Management of the Polytechnic for his dedication and commitment.
He belongs to many professional bodies. He is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Human Resources and Strategic Management of Nigeria (FCHR), Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (MNIM) and Member, Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (MNAEAP).
He has attended many national and international conferences, he is happily married and blessed with children.
The Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the Federal Polytechnic Offa wish him a successful tenure of office.
