Federal University Dutse has abolished instalment payment of registration fees.

The 4th Governing Council at its 3rd Regular Meeting has approved the abolition of the 60% and 40% payment of registration fees which was earlier approved in 2022 because of the introduction of Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) which has now reduced burden on parents.
According to the memo signed by the Registrar, FUD, Alhaji Abubakar Minjinyawa, FCA, the 60% and 40% instalmental payments have adversely affected the function of the University portal, adding that the University Benevolent Fund is there to also assist indigent students.
Meanwhile the Federal University Dutse has refunded the registration fees of about 1,503 students who benefited from Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) loan disbursement. These students had earlier paid their fees before the NELFund payment hit the university account.
This was disclosed to FUDNewsletter by the Bursar, Malam Hassan Balarabe, CNA. He said the University has received NELFund disbursement in respect of 1,920 students whose application were successful and duly processed, adding that those who were refunded were those who had earlier paid their fees.
