FUGUS Combined Convocation Ceremonies 2024 Announced [ 3rd & 4th]

Federal University, Gusau Second (3rd & 4th) Combined Convocation Ceremonies 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 Academic Sessions.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mu’azu Abubakar Gusau, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Staff, students and the entire University Community, wishes to invite all 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 Academic Sessions’ Graduands, Parents/Guardians and the General Public to the University’s Second (3rd and 4th) Combined Convocation Ceremonies scheduled to hold from Monday 20th May, to Saturday, 25 May, 2024.

NOTICE TO ALL GRADUANDS

  • Graduands are expected to pay Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000) only for the Order of Proceedings, Academic Robe/Gown and Certificate and Folder. The payment should be made using Remitta.
  • All Graduands are expected to dress in full appropriate wears. 
  • Nobody, including the Graduands and their Parents/Guardians will be admitted into the Convocation venue, after 09:00am and only two (2) relatives will be allowed to enter the Convocation Arena. 
  • All Graduands are to assemble at the Convocation Arena by 09:00am.
  • No student will be allowed to leave the Convocation venue before the end of the ceremony. Students are, therefore, advised to comply with these arrangements.
  • Academic gowns should be collected from the respective Faculty Officers after clearance from the Academic Office. 
  • Collection of Convocation materials commences on Monday, 20th May. 2024 by 10:00am and closes on Friday, 24th May, 2024 by 04:00pm.
  • All collected academic gowns should be returned by the Graduands to their respective collection points from Monday 27 May, 2024 to Friday, 31 May, 2024.
  • Clearance Form should be collected from the Faculty Officers signed and stamped and will be used in collecting the certificate.
  • All Graduands will receive their certificates from Saturday, 25 May, 2024 at the Academic Office. Evidence of payment for the certificate as well as Clearance Form for returning the academic gown will be required before issuance of the certificates
  • Provision will be made for students to collect their certificates even on Sunday 26 May, 2024 to enable them go back to their destinations on time

SECURITY 

  • All cars and buses without University emblem or sticker will be subjected to thorough security checks.
  • Luggage and bags will be subjected to Security checks before being allowed into the Convocation Arena
  • Parking lots are designed and can only be used on presentation of parking cards
  • University Security Personnel and other Security Agencies will direct all vehicles in the designated parking lots allowed near the Convocation 
  • No form of hawking of any item will be Arena
