The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has approved the appointment of new Heads of Departments and renewed the tenure of several acting directors in a move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency across the institution.
Among the appointments, Prof. Ogwola Idoko Robert has been appointed the Head of the Department of Public Administration, while Dr Labulo Ayomide Hassan will serve as the Head of the Curriculum Development Unit in the Directorate of Academic Planning, for one-year period.
The Vice-Chancellor also approved the renewal of appointments of acting directors and heads of units across key departments of the university for a period of one year, as seen in the attached table.
According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Dr Nuradeen Abdu, the approvals are part of ongoing efforts by the university management to reposition its administrative and academic structures for improved service delivery.
The statement further disclosed that Mr Adekogbe Qudus has been appointed as Acting Bursar following the expiration of the tenure of the Bursar, Dr Daniel Anjola Wilson, on May 5, 2026.
Qudus is expected to serve in the acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Bursar by the University’s Governing Council.
The university management reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring effective leadership across all units to support the institution’s growth and development.
