A 400L student of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) from the Department of Physics, Daniel Dennis Oche, popularly called Dheneazi, has won the sum of Two Million Naira only (N2,000,000.00) and other cash awards at the ongoing Kogi International Carnival 2024 which kick-started on Sunday in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital.


Dheneazi emerged as the First Runner-up in the Kogi Music Talent Hunt organized as part of the carnival activities and won other cash prizes, including $500 donation and a video shooting expenditure cost pledged by one of the sponsors.
In a short interview after clinching the award, the young musician, who could not hide his tears of joy, said that the outing was his first time of participating in a competition of this nature. He urged other upcoming artistes in the University not to underrate their talents and gifts.
