Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) Academic Calendar 2025/2026 Academic Session has been announced.


This is to inform the general public, particularly applicants who have been offered admission for the 2025/2026 Academic Session and who have paid acceptance fee, that the University Senate at its 1 (Inaugural) Statutory meeting held on Wednesday, 4th February, 2026 received reports from the University Management and Committee of Deans and Directors on preparedness of the University towards students resumption.
Sequel to the consideration of these reports, the Senate of the University took the following far reaching decisions to ensure smooth resumption and the wellness of students.
1. 2025/2026 ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The 2025/2026 academic calendar was approved as follows:

First semester Summary
12 weeks of lecture (23 March to 26 June, 2026)
1 week lecture free (29 June – 3 July, 2026)
2 weeks of examination (6 – 17 July, 2026)
Second Semester
12 weeks of lecture (3 August – 23 Oct. 2026)
1 week lecture free (26 – 30 Oct. 2026)
2 weeks of examination (2 – 13 Nov. 2026)
3 weeks of result processing
2. MATRICULATION NUMBERS
Prospective students are to please note that matriculation numbers will soon be allocated to those who have paid acceptance fee to enable them pay their school fees and also register as a student of FUNATO.
3. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
The University has taken steps to provide hostel accommodation for students through public/private partnership arrangement. The University will therefore, provide hostel accommodation within the communities around the University to a significant number of students. These hostel accommodation will be available at reasonable rent rates and will be properly regulated and secured by the University. The modalities for application and allocation would be announced soon.
4. ON GOING ADMISSION EXERCISE
Candidates who are interested in pursuing their choice programmes in FUNATO still have the opportunity to apply as JAMB portal is still very open for the change of their university of choice before proceeding to the university website to register for online screening. Candidates are advised to ensure that they meet the advertised criteria for the course of their choice.
