The attention of the management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has been drawn to a purported notice of resumption of academic activities for the 2019/2020 academic session, requesting students to resume lectures on Monday, January 11, 2021.
I, the Registrar and secretary to the senate, hereby categorically refute such notice( which was poorly written and unsigned), as it did not emanate from my office.
I wish to further state that neither management nor the senate has taken any decision on the date of the resumption of academic activities for the 2019/2020 session.
I, therefore, on behalf of the Vice-chancellor, urge FUTO students and the general public to disregard such and await proper notice from the appropriate authority in due course.
Please be guided.
Signed
John U. Nnabuike
Registrar/Secretary to senate.
