The Vice-Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Prof. Iwe, has revealed in a short story that he never imagined that he will someday be a vice-chancellor.

He noted that his academic path was at some point dotted with so many challenges that he never imagined he would rise through the ranks to become a Vice-Chancellor someday.
The University Don disclosed this during his thanksgiving ceremony at his hometown, Amuda-Isuochi, on Monday.
The elated VC, who expressed gratitude to God for nudging men to elevate him, noted that the fear of God has helped him navigate through life’s challenges.
Present at the occasion were dignitaries from all walks of life, including the former Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Sen. Sam Egwu, amongst other distinguished government functionaries. Staff members of MOUAU, including the principal officers of the University, were also in attendance.
