In quest for financial stability, follow your passion. When passion is your driving force, you find fulfillment earning from your passion.
Peace Solomon, a graduate of Human Anatomy from the University of Calabar, Cross River State, shared how her passion moved her into opening her own fashion industry.
Peace didn’t let her passion to be just a mere dream, but went further to make it a reality by enrolling in a fashion school known as Allahandro Fashion Academy, Abuja.
While interviewed by Punch News, she stated that her mother was her inspiration. She said:
“While growing up, my mum was a seamstress. She usually make our (children) uniform and Christmas dresses. She also mended our torn outfits, so I had access to a sewing machine as a little girl. I would work on them to amend my dresses, and that was how I fell in love with fashion designing.“
Peace also stated that while she was undergoing the National Youth Service Corps scheme in Taraba State, she enrolled in a fashion school and started learning the basics of fashion designing.

Sourcing for clients was one the challenges she encountered while starting up her brand. Being a strategic lady, she had to deploy the use of social media and the results of her years of training paid out.
She also stated the need of soft skills and how it promoted her business aside being knowledgeable in her expertise. In her words:
“one of the key skills a fashion designer should have include marketing skills, effective communication skill, record keeping, financial intelligence, and people management skills.”
Peace ended her interview with Punch by dishing out some encouraging words for young entrepreneurs;
“Learn your craft well. Don’t just run after money. Rather, focus on being excellent at your skill and watch money run after you. Pay attention to details, and be willing to adjust and grow. Do not rush the process.“
