Two Kano medical graduates from October 6 University in Egypt, stranded for five years without certificates due to unpaid tuition fees, are appealing to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration for intervention to resolve the issue and enable them to practice medicine.

Two medical graduates from Kano State, Tajuddin Isah Ibrahim and Muzammil Muhammad, have expressed frustration over their inability to obtain their certificates from October 6 University in Egypt, five years after completing their degrees due to unpaid tuition fees.
The duo, part of a group of 40 students sponsored by the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso administration in 2013, revealed that their certificates were withheld because the university did not receive full tuition payments for them, unlike their peers whose fees were fully settled.
Despite numerous appeals to the previous government led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the issue remained unresolved. Now, they are urging the current administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to intervene and help release their certificates, enabling them to practice medicine and advance their careers.
