Cursory: Nurse Glory, a Nigerian woman, opened up about her experience studying abroad in the Philippines after difficulties with JAMB exams. Despite facing tragedy when her partner passed away, and giving birth out of wedlock, she later got married and is now expecting her second child.

Nurse Glory, a Nigerian woman, shared her personal journey on TikTok, detailing her decision to study abroad after experiencing difficulties with the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) examinations.
She moved to the Philippines in 2013 and recounted her experience of falling in love with a Nigerian man during her time there. Sadly, tragedy struck when her boyfriend passed away in a pool accident before their child could be born.
Despite facing criticism and discouragement, Nurse Glory stood firm in her decision not to terminate her pregnancy. While she was still in the Philippines, she met another man who showed interest in her, and she decided to give him a chance.
They got married in 2018, and Nurse Glory has since given birth to their first child, named Success. In the TikTok video, she also shared the joyous news that she is currently expecting her second child.
In her TikTok post, she wonders why some individuals must endure hardship before experiencing joy. However, she found solace in the unwavering support of her mother, whom she considers an angel. Despite facing mockery from others, her mother forgave and blessed her, as did God.
She wrote on TikTok: “I don’t know why some people have to suffer before they enjoy, but it is well, I will never forget my mom in haste because she is my Angel. While people were busy mocking me, my mom forgave and blessed me so did God. So anything anyone else is saying is their own business. Let people believe what they are to believe, but God won’t stop blessing us because you hate us.”
