The Governing Council of Lagos State University has approved the appointment of Dr. Omawunmi Orighomisan Makinde as the 5th Substantive Librarian of the University.
The appointment, which was contained in a letter dated 27th November 2023, is for a period of four (4) years and takes effect from Friday, 1st December 2023.
She succeeds, Prof. Emmanuel Layi Adebayo, whose tenure ends on Thursday, 30th November 2023.
Dr. Makinde, who is currently serving as the Acting Dean, School of Library and Archival Studies, is a Deputy Librarian at the University Library.
