The Nigerian Army awarded a full scholarship to Miss Christianah Obadare of the University of Ilesa, Osun State, under the Chief of Army Staff Special Scholarship Scheme, as part of its commitment to supporting education and promoting academic excellence in Nigeria.


The Nigerian Army has granted a full scholarship to Miss Christianah Obadare, a student in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ilesa, Osun State, under the Chief of Army Staff Special Scholarship Scheme.
According to a statement by the university’s Registrar, Funso Ojo, the scholarship was presented by Major General O.O. Onubogu of the 2 Division Headquarters, Nigerian Army, Ojoo, Ibadan. The presentation ceremony was attended by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Asaolu, and other key officials.
The scholarship, which will fully fund Miss Obadare’s education until graduation, is part of the Nigerian Army’s commitment to fostering quality education in Nigeria. Major General Onubogu emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s efforts under NELFUND to support educational development across the country.
In his remarks, Professor Asaolu praised the Nigerian Army for its thoughtful contribution to academic advancement, noting that such initiatives encourage and promote excellence among students.
