Nigerian scholar Isaac J. Oniti has been named the 2024 Valedictorian of KNUST’s College of Engineering, achieving a record-breaking Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 87.23 and earning widespread acclaim for his outstanding academic excellence.

Isaac J. Oniti, a young Nigerian scholar, has been recognized as the 2024 Valedictorian of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) College of Engineering. A graduate of Seven Great Princes Academy, Oniti achieved an impressive Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 87.23, setting a record for the institution.

This outstanding performance surpasses those of other top students across KNUST’s various colleges. Laurent Sessi, the 2024 best student from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, earned a CWA of 82.14, while Bansi Eliasu Yahaya from the College of Arts and Built Environment recorded a CWA of 81.04.

Oniti’s achievement also eclipses that of Kelvin Tamakloe, who was the 2023 Valedictorian of the College of Engineering with a CWA of 84.72. Tamakloe is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Iowa State University.
