Samuel Adeyemo, a top 1% graduate in Industrial Mathematics from FUTA, combined academic excellence with leadership, humanitarian initiatives, and professional affiliations, earning numerous accolades and inspiring others with his resilience and societal contributions.

Samuel Adeyemo, a brilliant Nigerian scholar, graduated with honors in Industrial Mathematics from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), placing among the top 1% of his class.

Samuel’s academic journey began with a strong foundation in mathematics during his secondary school years, where he stood out as one of the brightest students. His exceptional performance earned him a JAMB score of 281/400 and a merit-based admission to study Industrial Mathematics at FUTA.

Quoting Nelson Mandela’s words, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” Samuel entered university with a focus on academics. By his second year, however, he recognized the broader purpose of education: personal growth and societal impact. This realization drove him to combine academic excellence with leadership and humanitarian efforts.

During his time at FUTA, Samuel held numerous leadership roles, including Director of Welfare for the FUTA Graduating Class of 2023 Committee, Electoral Chairman for the Nigerian Association of Mathematics Students (NAMSS) FUTA (2024/2025), and Southwest Zonal Coordinator for NAMSS (2023/2024). In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Samuel founded the JOMO Action Group, which supported over 6,000 students through tutorials, reading materials, entrepreneurship training, and financial assistance for school fees. This initiative earned him the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the FUTA Student Union in 2023.

Samuel’s outstanding contributions and academic excellence garnered numerous accolades, including the HillCity Foundation Scholarship (2021–2024), FUTA Management Scholarship (2023), Ondo State Government Bursary Award (2023), Most Outstanding Student Leader Award (2024), and Most Resourceful Student Award from the School of Physical Science, FUTA (2023).

His drive for professional growth also led him to affiliations with organizations such as ForbesBLK, Data Science Nigeria, and the Young African Leadership Initiative. These connections reflect his dedication to both academic and professional excellence.

Reflecting on his achievements, Samuel expressed gratitude for the resilience, determination, and support that defined his journey. “This journey has been one of resilience, determination, and growth. I’m grateful for the people who supported and inspired me along the way,” he shared.
