NSUK Senate Approves Calendar For Third Semester 2024/2025 Academic Session

NSUK Senate Approves Calendar For Third Semester 2024/2025 Academic Session.

Third Semester Activities
Revision and examinations for the Third Semester (Second Batch) will run concurrently with registration from Monday, 10 January to Saturday, 24 January 2026.
Departments are required to effectively manage these activities to avoid disruptions to the registration process.

ELIGIBILITY AND OTHER POLICY DECISIONS ON THIRD SEMESTER PROGRAM

  • All students with First Semester and Second Semester carryover courses not exceeding: 24 Credit Units combined;
  • All students who started examination in a Semester but could not continue due to ill-health and other similar conditions;
  • All students who missed examinations in a Semester;
  • Cases of late admission resulting in missed examination;

Note that all cases allowed as spelt out (in 1 to 4) above are all considered as carryover cases, meaning, students must have registered the course(s) in either first or second semester of the session and somehow missed or failed the examination. This further means that dropped courses are not allowed.

  • Eligible students are to pay the sum of 20,000 Naira per course registration at any point of registration provided it is within the approved timeline and credit units allowed.
  • Registration, revision, examination and upload of results on the portal must be done within the approved calendar for the Third Semester.
  • Registration for the Third Semester (first) will always commence immediately after the second semester examinations while registration for the Third Semester (second) commences only after the release of second semester results on the students portal for them to know their fate first before registering.
  • Registration for Third Semester is open to all levels, and IT IS OPTIONAL.
