Nwafor Orizu College of Education Graduates Make Fresh Headlines in the 2024 Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition.
It would be recalled that Esomnofu a graduate of Mathematics department in Nwafor Orizu College of Education and an online educator with massive followers, made headline in various platforms for his outstanding performance in eradicating mathematics phobia in young scholars, and is recognised as the most followed African online tutor.
In the unveiling of the winner of the 10th edition of the Maltina Teacher of the year award held at Eko Hotel and Suites on Friday, 11th October 2024, with the ten teachers who made it to the final round, our very own Esomnofu Chidiebube was announced as the winner and was presented with a cheque of ten million naira (N 10, 000, 000) to encourage him to keep doing more exploits.
Similarly, Chinenye Augustina Nwosu a Biology Teacher at Anthony Obaze Memorial Community High School, Ochuche-Umuodu, Ogbaru LGA, Anambra and also a graduate of Biology Department in Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, Anambra Sate, Class of 2018; one of the Top 11 Finalists and representative of the entire SouthEast among the Top 11 Finalists also emerged the ANAMBRA STATE CHAMPION, Maltina Teacher of the Year, 2024, in the historic event.
This Champion is the beloved wife of current Presidential Award Winner of the Star Prize Best Teacher Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2024, Comr. Joseph Afamuefuna Nwosu of GTC, Ossomala, Ogbaru, Anambra and a first class graduate of Physics Department, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Class of 2014. He was the state champion and a Top 10 finalist of the Maltina Award, 2021.
