This was disclosed in a statement as released by Geoffrey Jimin, the social media aide to Governor Samuel Ioraer Ortom of Benue State on Wednesday morning the 27th of October, 2021.

“The development followed the collaborative efforts of the state government, Benue Links management and the families of the victims.

Others include Sedoo Kondo, an undergraduate of Usman Danfodio University, who was on her way to school, Ruth Sesuur Tsokar, who was visiting a relative in Kebbi state and two brothers, Muhammudu Saminu and Safiam Muhammudu, who were on their way to Sokoto state, together with the corp members in a Benue Links vehicle. They all ended up in the Kidnappers’ den.”, the statement read in part.

The Kidnapped victims were released at about 6p.m on Tuesday according to the statement. Though no disclosure was made as to whether ransom was paid in securing their release.
