NYSC Corps Member Exposes Cheating Students, Displays Seized “Expo” Papers (video)

A female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has sparked a debate online after revealing how she caught students cheating during an examination. She confiscated multiple cheat sheets, commonly known as “expo,” and shared them in a viral video.

The corps member, currently serving as a teacher, took to social media to recount her experience in the exam hall. In a video posted by @just.bimhe on TikTok, she displayed several pieces of paper containing pre-written answers that students had attempted to use during the test.

She humorously captioned the video:

“POV: You retrieved numerous atomic bombs from students. Just another day to retrieve expos lmao. They call me agba malpractice catcher.”

The video quickly gained traction, with many users sharing their opinions and personal experiences with exam malpractice. Some praised her vigilance, while others felt she should have been more lenient.

@GABRIEL TRACY commented:

“Na corper you be, you nor be God.”

@MediaTokNaija jokingly wrote:

“Unrelated, but why did NYSC teachers always catch my attention back in secondary school?”

@xo_edward added:

“During your time, nobody did you like this oo. Try to pity them small.”

@Neyoflox admitted:

“Even God knows that if it were me, I’d act like I didn’t see anything because I was once in their shoes.”

Another commenter, Olayemi O., shared an insightful perspective:

“I was the CLO during my service year (2015), and I can tell you that some corps members couldn’t even spell ‘May’ or ‘March,’ let alone their surnames. This highlights the state of our education system. Keep up the good work, though!”

Others expressed concerns for the corps member’s safety, warning that some students involved in malpractice might retaliate.

@OramendiPapus cautioned:

“Sister, be careful. Some of these students belong to cult groups. Don’t put yourself at risk.”
