Cursory: Seven students from the University of Jos have been abducted by armed men. The incident occurred around 1 am while the students were studying for their upcoming exams. The university source confirmed the abduction but provided no further details.The names and details of the students have not been released, and the police are currently working to rescue them unscathed.


Seven students from the University of Jos have been kidnapped by armed individuals from a private hostel located along the Bauchi-Ring road in the Jos North local government area of Plateau State.
The abduction occurred around 1 am on Wednesday while the students were reportedly studying in preparation for their upcoming exams.
A source from the university, who preferred to remain anonymous, verified the incident but chose not to disclose additional details.
A student in the neighbourhood where the incident happened said they were afraid and could not offer any help even when the intruders spent about 30 minutes before whisking the victims away in a vehicle they came with.
The names, departments and years of study of the victims could not be ascertained at the time of this report.The State Police spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo, also confirmed the incident, and added, “We are still working to rescue the students unhurt.”
