UNIDEL Secures NUC Approval For New Programmes.

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has approved the establishment of more programmes for University of Delta, Agbor.

In a release signed by Abubakar Girel, the Ag. Director of Academic Planning on behalf of the Executive Secretary of NUC, the programmes were approved after a successful resource verification visit carried out by a panel of experts recently.

The programmes which would run from 2025/2026 academic session are B.Sc. Data Science and B.Sc. Information Science, both in the Faculty of Computing.

In a reaction, the Vice-Chancellor of University of Delta, Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke said she was elated at the development, and enjoined all staff of the Institution to remain focused, diligent and productive, as the growth of the citadel of learning remained collective efforts.

The approval brings the total NUC accredited programs in the University of Delta to 96, while more programs would soon be accredited.
