CURSORY: A marketing graduate from Ebonyi State University, has started her own plantain chip business since it pays more than her salary job.

The lady, Ezike Theresa Osinachi, attended Ebonyi State University (EBSU) and studied marketing, but she refused to rely solely on her degree to get by.
The entrepreneurial lady, said that her constant financial shortage was the reason she left her salary work.
Osinachi began selling foods such as plantain chips, chin chin, kuli kuli, cashew nuts and other snacks. She said it was incredibly upsetting to have to wait until the end of the month before she could buy anything as a salary earner and graduate.
According to her: “While I was working, I was never wealthy. I have always wanted to be a businesswoman; it hasn’t always been easy, but my hard work is finally starting to pay off. It is absurd that I have to wait until the end of the month to have money for my personal requirements, and at that point, I will still not get paid my salary, for whatever reason.”
Osinachi stated that prior to deciding to launch her own company, she held three separate jobs. She claimed that her efforts are starting to bear fruit.
“I worked in three places before I finally decided to face my business. I worked in 2 different casinos in Ibadan, and worked as a project manager with an IT firm here in Lagos”.
Osinachi is currently concentrating on developing her brand in the Nigerian snack market. She creates inventive recipes for cashew nuts, peanut burgers, plantain chips, chin chin, and kuli kuli, which she distributes to her expanding clientele.
How to increase business profits
She disclosed that the business was successful and offered some advice on how to proceed.
“Yes, the business is very profitable if you learn the trade,” she said. Every firm has a secret, and you will maximize profit if you enter the industry with the correct information and understanding, such as acquiring raw materials, pricing, and costing, as well as receiving mentorship from seasoned business-people.”
Despite the success of her business, Osinachi stated that she intended to continue her study.
“Over the years, I have attended courses and training in business to help me improve my marketing knowledge and I hope to further my education in business soonest.”
