The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, has graciously approved the waiving of tuition fees for staff members enrolled in postgraduate programs, starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.
This is to inform the University Community, that Senate, at its 234th meeting held on Wednesday, 28th May, 2025 considered and resolved that the tuition fee waiver for staff undertaking Postgraduate studies be reinstated. This tuition fee waiver is tenable from the 2024/2025 academic session.
To this effect, and in consonance with previously approved guidelines, staff of the University who are undertaking Postgraduate studies and who wish to take advantage of the above policy should apply for the tuition fee waiver attaching the following two documents.
- The Admission Letter; and
- The approval to undertake Postgraduate studies.
The University Community should note that the full Postgraduate tuition rebate for staff is tenable only for the minimum duration of study.

UNIZIK Ag VC Approves Free Tuition for Staff Pursuing Postgraduate Studies
This decision was formally announced in a memo issued by the Ag Registrar, Rev. Sam Ufoh, addressed to the university community.
The memo stated:
“The University wishes to inform all staff members, both teaching and non-teaching, that beginning with the 2024/2025 academic session, the institution will cover the tuition fees for any staff member pursuing postgraduate studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.”
