UNIZIK has elected New Deputy Vice Chancellors.
Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka has elected new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration).
Prof. Alex Chinwuba Asigbo of the Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies was elected as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) while Prof. Hilda Ewosiida Osisioma of the Department of Business Administration was elected Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) at the 242nd meeting of the Senate held on the Wednesday, 25th February, 2026 at the Zephaniah Madubuko Auditorium, Faculty of Social Sciences.
Hitherto, Prof. Osisioma was the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (coordinating) for a period of three months.
Prof. Alex Asigbo is the current Director of UNIZIK Commercial Ventures and former Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
