Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK Warns Against Collection of Unauthorized Dues From Students
It has come to the notice of the Management of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) that some Heads of Departments and Deans of Faculties have once more resorted to collecting unauthorized dues from students under various guises, including the so called Peculiar dues. This unfortunately imposes drastic and heavy financial burden on our students. The Management has taken a firm stance against the resurgence of this reproachable practice and warns that any staff member found engaging in such extortion henceforth shall face the Disciplinary Panel.
Furthermore, the Student Union Government (SUG) is hereby authorized to report any instances of such extortion directly to the Office of the Vice- Chancellor. All Heads of Departments and Deans of Faculties are therefore advised to refrain from all unauthorized collections.
