The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has officially opened the portal for UTME to Direct Entry (DE) conversion for the 2025 admission year.

If you’re a UTME candidate with a higher qualification eligible for DE, this update is for you.
According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the conversion service is now available across all Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) nationwide. This move enables qualified candidates who initially registered for UTME but are eligible for Direct Entry to switch accordingly.
In a statement released via JAMB’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, they wrote:
“This is to notify all interested candidates that UTME to DE conversion has commenced. The service is available at our Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) nationwide. All 2025 UTME candidates with higher qualifications suitable for Direct Entry (DE) should please take note.”
If JAMB releases further guidelines or instructions, we’ll make sure to keep you updated in due course. For now, eligible candidates are advised to visit any PRC close to them to begin the conversion process.
