Wike Celebrates Honorary Doctorate from UNIPORT with Joyful Dance

Nyesom Wike, Nigeria’s current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former two-term Governor of Rivers State, was filled with joy and pride as he received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT)—his alma mater—on Saturday, July 27, 2025.

The prestigious recognition was conferred during the institution’s convocation ceremony, held at its main campus in Choba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The event drew a large audience, including academic leaders, political dignitaries, family members, and members of the public.
