FG Appoints Hassan Kolawole as YABATECH Acting Bursar

The Honourable Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, on behalf of Federal Government, approved the appointment of Dr. Hassan Abdullahi Kolawole as the Acting Bursar of Yaba College of Technology in the absence of the Governing Council with effective date of Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

According to him, the effective date of the appointment is the day when the tenure of the incumbent ends and terminates when the substantive officer is appointed by the Governing Council.

Dr. Hassan took over from Mr. Abdulwaheed Adekunle Yeosuf whose tenure ended on Monday, December 11, 2023. Until his appointment, he was the Head of Department, Treasury in the Bursary Unit of the college.

Dr. Hassan joined Yaba College of Technology in 2016 as pioneer managing director of YCT Microfinance. He is a veteran of the Accounting profession with over 37 years of experience.

Dr. Kolawole Hassan, a Chief Accountant, was the Head of Budget and Expenditure before he was redeployed to head the Treasury Department, the position he held until his appointment as the Acting Bursar.

Hassan was born over six decade ago, hails from Ilorin East Local Government from Kwara State, and happily married with Children. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) since 1986 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant of Nigeria in 1987. Dr. Hassan bagged Ph.D in Accounting in the year 2021.
