In honor of Isaac Olaolu Akinyele’s impactful legacy, the “Years Me Memorial Scholarship Awards” have been established to recognize and support aspiring undergraduate students pursuing studies in Nutrition or Agriculture at public universities in Nigeria. This scholarship, with a total value of N150,000 for 10 scholars, serves as a beacon of encouragement for dedicated students striving for excellence in these vital fields.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the undergraduate IOA Memorial Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Citizenship: Open to Nigerian citizens enrolled in federal or state-owned universities in Nigeria.
- Field of Study: Must be pursuing studies in Nutrition or Agriculture.
- Academic Level: Currently in the second or third year of full-time undergraduate study.
- Minimum CGPA: Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system.
Available Programs:
The IOA Memorial Scholarship is exclusively available to aspiring undergraduate students studying Nutrition or Agriculture at public universities in Nigeria.

Applicants for the 2024 IOA Memorial Scholarships must submit the following documents:
Essays Submission:
- 1st Essay: Why I am qualified for this scholarship. (Max 300 words)
- Enrollment in the course “Evolving Leaders in Nutrition.”
- 2nd Essay: Summary of learnings from the course, ethical leadership practices in Nigeria, and an action plan.
- 3rd Essay: Vision for food systems pathways’ transformation in the next ten years and the role of Generative AI. (Max 250 words)
Application Package:
- Completed application forms.
- Current transcripts.
- Personal references: One from a former employer or current professor, and a personal/character reference.
