UNILAG School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) Receives Books Donation

The University of Lagos School of Postgraduate Studies has received book donations.

Authorities of the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos led by the Dean, Prof. Abraham Osinubi, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, received a donation of books titled: “Reclaiming the Jewel of Africa” written by a former Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Economic Management Team (2010 – 2011) and Minister of Industry, Trade & Investments (2011 – 2015), Olusegun Aganga.

The books were presented to the SPGS Management by Dr. Waheed Olagunju, Founder & CEO, WVL Development Advisers Limited and former Acting Managing Director & CEO Bank of Industry. Dr. Olagunju was also a former National Ex Officio member and former National Publicity Secretary, University of Lagos Alumni Association.

According to Dr. Olagunju, the books would aid the furtherance of research in the University of Lagos. He pointed out some of the values, nuggets, expectations of Nigeria, and recommendations discussed in the book.

The Dean, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, thanked Dr. Olagunju for the book donation and assured that they would be used to further research in the University.

Also at the brief presentation were the SPGS Sub-Dean and Deputy Registrar, Dr. Adegboyega Ehinmowo and Mr. Rotimi Adedunye.

The book “Reclaiming the Jewel of Africa” is an insider’s account of how to take Nigeria and Africa from potential to prosperity. Drawing on long experience in both the private and public sectors, the author, Olusegun Aganga provides practical and pragmatic insights which all Nigerians, and anyone concerned about the broader economic future of Africa, should consider.
