Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification exercise for 2025 UTME candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State. The Closing date is now on Thursday, 19th June, 2025

All Candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination [UTME] and scored a minimum of 195 are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2025/2026 Admission Exercise will commence from Monday, 26th May, 2025 and close on Thursday, 19th June, 2025 as scheduled below:

Please, NOTE that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serves as a proof of admission into the Lagos State University.

  • Opening of Portal for Online Registration:   Monday, 26th May, 2025 and close on Thursday, 19th June, 2025

Screening Exercise.

  • Phase 1: Monday, 26th May 2025 – Thursday, 29th May 2025
  • Phase 2: Monday, 2nd June 2025 – Thursday, 5th June 2025
  • Phase 3: Monday, 9th June 2025 – Thursday, 12th June 2025
  • Phase 4: Monday, 16th June 2025 – Thursday, 19th June 2025

  • Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
  • Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
  • Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
  • Epe Division: School of Transport

How to Apply for LASU Indigeneship Verification Exercise

Candidates are to make payment to Lagos State University Account online through this link:  https://lasu.edu.ng/iive/

  • Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission;
  • The interview will hold at the following venues:
    • Ikeja Division: First Floor, L & H Building, Faculty of Arts 
    • Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education 
    • Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law 
    • Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building 
    • Epe Division: School of Transport
  • Old applicants for 2022/2023, 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only Revalidate their indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at www.lasu.edu.ng with  payment; and
  • All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State Origin are to participate in this Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission.

  • Evidence of Title to Landed property (Long-standing title usually over 50years)
  • Written Testimony from relevant Oba to certify claim to Lagos State
  • Written Testimony from Secretary to your Local Government Area
  • Certificate of Origin from local government
  • Original Jamb result
  • Olevel Result
  • Passport photography.
