ABU Zaria Introduces Online Remedial Programme at SBRS Funtua.


The Management of the School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS), Funtua, is pleased to inform the University community and the general public of the introduction of an Online Remedial Programme, designed to provide greater flexibility and access to quality pre-degree education.
Prospective candidates now have the opportunity to choose between the conventional on-campus (physical) mode of study and the newly introduced online mode, which allows students to participate in the programme remotely from their homes.
Programme Structure
- Lectures: 100% online delivery through the School’s Learning Management System (LMS).
- Practical Sessions: 100% physical to be conducted at designated centres based on the geographical distribution of registered candidates.
- Examinations: Physical examinations to be conducted at approved centres located according to the distribution of registered students.
Programme Duration: Nine (9) months.
Upon successful completion of the programme and attainment of the prescribed minimum admission requirements, candidates will be eligible for admission into various degree programmes of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The Online Remedial Programme is scheduled to commence in the 2026/2027 Academic Session, while the sale of admission forms is expected to begin in July 2026.
