Adamawa State University Gets New Vice Chancellor

The Governing Council of Adamawa State University (ADSU) MUBI has approved the Appointment of New Vice Chancellor.

The Pro chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Adamawa State University, Mubi Prof Maxwell Gidado SAN OON on Tuesday 28th January, 2025 has announced the appointment of Prof Augustine Clement as the Substantive Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi with effect from 5th February, 2025, following the approval of the Visitor to the University His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

This came at a press briefing organised by the Governing Council of the University.

Prof Gidado, who addressed our crew explained that the council arrived at appointing Prof Clement as the Substantive Vice Chancellor following the recommendation of the Governing Council and subsequent approval by the Visitor.

Prof Clement, is a distinguished scholar of Monogastric Animal Nutrition in the Department of Animal Production, Adamawa State University, Mubi. He served the University for over a decade of dedicated service in Teaching Research and Community Service in the University. Prior to his appointment, he was the Director, IJMB and Remedial Studies and had held several academic and administrative positions in the University, including current member of the Governing Council and immediate past Head of Department, Animal Production.

Prof Clement hails from Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State and has widely travelled across the globe. He is happily married with children and enjoys reading engaging in charity activities, community activities and mentoring younger professionals.
