Adele bursts into tears on stage after being surprised by former teacher who made an impact in her life (video)

English songwriter and singer, Adele Laurie, went emotional on stage after being surprised by her former teacher who made a great impact in her life.

The touching moment was recorded during her televised gig “An Audience with Adele” on Sunday, November 22.

During the gig, actress Dame Emma asked Adele if there was anyone who had impacted greatly in her life.

Responding, Adele who had been a student at Chestnut Grove School in Balham, London, mentioned her English teacher, Miss McDonald, and spoke glowingly about her.

According to her, Miss McDonald left a positive mark on her and other students, adding that she reignited her love for books.

She however stated that the teacher left the school when she was 12 years old.

She added:: “It was just one year, but she got me really into literature. Like I’ve always been obsessed with English and obviously, now I write lyrics.”

“She was so bloody cool, so engaging, and she really made us care, and we knew that she cared about us and stuff like that. She used to have all these gold bracelets and gold rings. She was bloody cool and so relatable and likeable, that I really looked forward to my English lessons,”

To her greatest surprise, Miss McDonald was in the audience and she burst into tears as her teacher walked down the aisle to the stage and gave her a warm hug.

The teacher that taught me Igbo Language as a young girl unfortunately I don’t remember her name cus it was preschool and we left that side after my pre school buh I always ask my mum about her as a young girl… I really wish I can see her again some day
Seeing her in school then was magical for me, she was my everyday reason to go to school, a very kind human.
She taught me Igbo alphabet in a way I never forgot till date! She did a song on Igbo alphabet and made us sing it as marching in song into the class. That was the only memory I remember of my days in nursery.
If she is still alive, I pray life gives her a ounce of her kindness ♥️
