Borno State offers scholarship to indigenes to study in China. The closing date is August 15th, 2024


The Borno State Government, under the leadership of Governor Professor Babangana Umara Zulum, is currently offering scholarships to indigenes of Borno State who wish to pursue higher education in the People’s Republic of China.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet specific requirements, including:
- Subject requirements for Medicine and Engineering: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Subject requirements for Chinese Language: Excellent results in art subjects
- Minimum marks: 75% in WAEC for MBBS and 65% for Engineering
- Age requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old
Successful applicants will receive sponsorship to study Medicine, Engineering, and Chinese Language courses at Chinese universities.
Required documents
The required documents for application include:
- First School Living Certificate (FSLC)
- Certificate of Origin
- Statement of Result containing CGPA (for University/Polytechnic/College/School of Nursing students)
How to Apply for Borno State Scholarship
To apply, eligible candidates must:
- Gather required documents
- Complete the online application through the Borno State Government Scholarship Board Portal
- Submit the application before the deadline of August 15th, 2024.
It is essential to note that the Board will not entertain errors or complaints related to erroneous registrations. Therefore, applicants are advised to exercise caution and attentiveness while filling out their application forms.
