Corps Member Cries Out After Finding Out She’s Actually Pregnant After ‘Faking’ It to Leave Camp

A Corps member who faked pregnancy to leave NYSC camp was left in tears after a compulsory test surprisingly confirmed she was actually pregnant, sparking mixed reactions online.

A female Corps member has sparked widespread discussions online after breaking down upon discovering she is actually pregnant, despite initially faking a pregnancy to leave NYSC camp. The story was shared by a medical doctor on X (formerly Twitter), @PreciousOrla.

The Corps member pretended to be pregnant to get excused from camp activities, but when she realized she would be tested for confirmation, she immediately denied the claim and admitted she was lying. However, the nurse insisted on carrying out the test, and to her shock, the result confirmed that she was indeed pregnant.

The discovery reportedly left the Corps member in shock and disbelief as she struggles to come to terms with the unexpected pregnancy. The post read: “Someone here wanted to use pregnancy to lie and leave camp, immediately she realised she will be tested for confirmation she now said she’s not pregnant again and that she was lying. The nurse insisted on doing the test anyway, and she’s indeed pregnant. She’s been crying”.

The post has gone viral, with netizens flooding the comment section with mixed reactions. Some have described the incident as ironic, while others have expressed sympathy for the young woman.

The NYSC has previously urged pregnant corps members to serve the nation as expected, stating that “pregnancy is not a disease”.
