Fake News Alert: No Ban on Male-Female Interactions During Ramadan – Fed Poly Bauchi

Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Debunks Fake Ramadan Restrictions Circular.

The attention of the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has been drawn to a malicious and misleading circular currently circulating on social media platforms, said to have been issued from the Office of the Registrar of the Polytechnic.

The said circular, which makes spurious claims regarding restrictions on male and female students during the month of Ramadan, is entirely false, baseless, and did not emanate from the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi or any of its officials.

For the avoidance of doubt:

1) The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is a co-educational federal tertiary institution that recognizes and permits legitimate academic and social interactions among students within the bounds of decency and institutional regulations.

2) The Polytechnic is a multi-religious, multicultural, and cosmopolitan institution, with students and staff drawn from all parts of Nigeria and beyond. It does not promote or enforce any mono religious orientation in its policies or operations.

3) The Registrar, or any officer of the Polytechnic, could not and would not issue such an irrational and unfounded directive.

4) The general public, parents, guardians, students, alumni, and stakeholders are hereby advised to disregard the said circular in its entirety, as it is clearly the handiwork of mischief-makers bent on tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of the Polytechnic.

Members of the public are encouraged to always verify information concerning the Polytechnic through its official communication channels, please.
