FCMLST NDII Direct Admission into in MLT Recertification and Short Term Certificate Programme 2025 is Out.


The College wishes to inform all individuals (candidates, parents, and guardians) that the institution has officially commenced National Diploma (ND II) Direct Admission (Recertification) for Medical Laboratory Technologists. Additionally, short-term certificate courses are now available for the following programmes:
- Applied Immunology and vaccine science
- Phlebotomy
- Mortuary Science

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY (MLT) RECERTIFICATION
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
- Candidates who have an Ordinary Diploma (OD) in Medical Laboratory Technology or registered with a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Candidates with professional certificates (MLT license) who intend to acquire an academic certificate in MLT.
The candidate must possess an OD certificate, MLT license, and GCE/NECO or WAEC with credits in five (5) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and Physics. These must be obtained within two (2) sittings.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLIED IMMUNOLOGY AND VACCINE SCIENCE
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
- Candidates with BMLS or BSc in Biomedical Sciences.
- Candidates with OD or ND in Medical Laboratory Technology with at least 1 year of laboratory/clinical research experience.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MORTUARY SCIENCE AND PHLEBOTOMY
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
- Candidates with BMLS or BSc in Biomedical Sciences.
- Candidates with OD or ND in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- A Mortuary Attendant with OD, ND, GCE, NECO or WAEC with credit in five (5) subjects which must include Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and Physics, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, and not less than one year of experience in the job.
NB: Programme 1 and 2 apply to both courses, while category 3 is exclusive to applicants of Mortuary Science only.
How to Apply for FCMLST NDII Direct Admission into in MLT Recertification and Short Term Certificate Programme
Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of #10,000 for the application form to the College as follows:
Go to Remita Home Page (https://www.remita.net).
Select PAY FGN, then select “WHO TO PAY”. Select FCMI ST Jos 0521072020 and specify what the payment is for.
Input the amount, name of payer, payer’s phone number, email address, and submit.
On submission, state what the payment is for, then choose a preferred method of payment, e.g., debit card, Bank branch, etc.
Pay and generate a receipt with the remita code generated.
NOTE:
- All candidates are expected to come with their original credentials, passport photograph, and the application form plus payment receipt for verification and documentation.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATION: Friday, October 24th, 2025..
Candidates are required for screening/registration from 27th to 29th October 2025, by 10:00 am prompt at the College Assembly Hall.
