Katsina State Government (KTSG) and the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the takeover and conversion of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Katsina to a Teaching Hospital.
When it becomes fully operational, the Teaching Hospital will serve the students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Umaru Musa Yara’dua University (UMYU) and other paramedical students.
Similarly, the Teaching Hospital in addition to serving the Faculty of Medicine of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, it will also serve the whole community of the state as well as the neighbouring communities of the state and even beyond.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari signed for the Katsina State Government while the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire signed on behalf of the Federal Government at the Conference Room of the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja.
