Governor Nasir Donates ₦20 Million and 3 Bulls To NYSC Orientation Camp In Kebbi

The NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Dakin-Gari, Suru Local Government Area of Kebbi State, witnessed a moment of great excitement as Governor Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran-Gwandu) paid an unscheduled visit and generously donated ₦20 million and three (3) bulls in support of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.

Governor Idris, who was received by the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Bala Dabo Kagarko, commended the Corps Members for successfully completing their academic programmes and warmly welcomed them to Kebbi State for their one-year national service. He expressed his delight at meeting them in person and noted that seeing such a vibrant assembly of Nigerian youths was a source of pride for any responsible leader.

The Governor reassured the Corps Members that Kebbi State is peaceful and encouraged them not to seek redeployment. He emphasized that his administration is deeply committed to ensuring their welfare and safety throughout their service year, urging them to regard Kebbi as their second home.

During his address, Governor Idris disclosed that this was his first official visit to the Orientation Camp since assuming office. He acknowledged that the camp was facing certain infrastructural and logistical challenges and gave his firm commitment to addressing those issues in due course, promising improvements to the camp’s facilities and general conditions.

In response, Alhaji Bala Dabo Kagarko, on behalf of the Corps Members and camp officials, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Governor’s visit, generous donation, and continued support for the NYSC Scheme. He appealed for sustained attention to the needs of the camp to enhance the welfare and training experience of Corps Members.

The Governor was accompanied by notable dignitaries, including the former Governor of the State, Alhaji Sa’idu Nasamu, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, and the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Dutsin-Maru, among others.
