Katsina Governor, Malam Umaru Dikko Radda, Ph.D has Rewarded 14 Best Graduating Students of Federal Polytechnic Daura with ₦500K Each.


In a remarkable show of commitment to educational excellence, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Umaru Dikko Radda, Ph.D, has fulfilled the pledge he made during the second convocation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic Daura held on 26th April 2025. As promised, the Governor awarded ₦500,000 each to the 14 best graduating ND students of the 2023/2024 academic session.
The official presentation ceremony took place on 29th May 2025 at the Federal Polytechnic Daura, Permanent Site Auditorium. A powerful delegation was sent by His Excellency to present the awards, led by Alhaji Isah Muhammad Musa, the Katsina State Commissioner for Higher, Technical and Vocational Education, and Alhaji Hamza Abdulazeez, the Director of Finance and Accounts.
In his remarks, Commissioner Alhaji Isah Muhammad Musa reiterated the administration’s commitment to the education sector, stating that “Governor Dikko Radda, firmly believes that investing in education is investing in the future of Katsina State and Nigeria at large. This reward is not just for academic excellence but a message that hard work, discipline, and dedication will always be recognized.” He encouraged the beneficiaries to remain focused and use the funds wisely to build a promising future.
The new Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Musa Gambo K.K, FNIM, appreciated the Governor generosity and applauded his administration for prioritizing the education sector. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity to start meaningful entrepreneurship or further their education, he advised them to consult their parents for proper guidance on how to utilise the money.
Speaking on behalf of the Governing Council, the pioneer management and the new management, staff, and students, the Dean of Student Affairs, Mal. Ibrahim Umar Sarkin Aski, expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency on behalf of the Polytechnic Community. He described the gesture as a powerful motivation for students to strive for excellence and a clear demonstration of the Governor commitment to youth development.
The event marked another milestone in the ongoing transformation of education under the administration of Governor Dikko Radda PhD, both at State and at Federal level.
