OAU Challenges Post-UTME Notice Validity Due to Outdated Legal Seal

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Legal Unit has officially responded to the law firm that issued a pre-action notice against the University over alleged irregularities in the Post-UTME process.
In the reply dated October 4, 2025, the Legal Unit noted that the lawyer’s correspondence bore a 2024 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) seal; meaning he hasn’t updated his practicing license for 2025. The University therefore requested that he establish his current right to practice in accordance with professional regulations.
Simply put OAU’s Legal Unit is questioning the validity of the pre-action notice until due legal requirements are fulfilled.
