CURSORY : A car accident claimed the life of Chisom Nwakwo, a final-year student of the Department of Agricultural Economics in OAU, Osun State.


OAU management verified the information in a statement on Tuesday, December 12, expressing their regret.
According to Abiodun Olarewaju, the institution’s spokeswoman, the deceased student was tragically killed in an accident that occurred on campus.
Chisom Nwankwo, an Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) final-year student, passed away in an automobile accident on the campus.
According to The Punch, Nwankwo was riding on a commercial motorcycle along Road 1 on the OAU campus when she was involved in the fatal accident.
OAU mourns the passing of a final year Campus sources reported that Nwankwo and the biker who had carried her were taken to the health center as soon as the accident happened. From there, they were transferred to OAU Teaching Hospital (OAUTH), where the student’s death was officially declared.
