Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU management has issued an Important Notice On the Increased in Tuition Fees Of Students.

It has become imperative for the Management of the University to offer some explanations regarding the current increase in Tuition Fees payable by Students of the University.
This unavoidable increase is an outcome of several discussions and negotiations between the Management of the University, the Students Union Government, Staff Unions and all other Stakeholders within and outside the University.
Indeed, Olabisi Onabanjo University was the last to announce this increase out of all the Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State.
It is worthy of note that most Federal and State owned Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria have similarly increased their Tuition Fees.
The painful reality is that for the University to survive and at least meet its Operational Costs, the Tuition Fees has to be reviewed upwards.
This increase starting from 190,000 Naira per Session (depending on the Course) is comparable to what is being charged in other Federal and State Government owned Tertiary Institutions
Sequel to 3 above, Management has devised several alternatives to cushion the impact of this increase on indigent Students. In addition to the yearly Bursary being planned by Government to be paid to all Students, several Scholarship Schemes and a Work Study Programme has been put in place by the University Management.
The University Management seeks for the understanding of Parents, Students, Stakeholders and the general Public on this unavoidable and mevitable increase. It is based on current Economic realities and Operational Costs of the University.
The University Management in line with its mandate will continue to ensure that quality Tuition is provided for all our Students in a conducive atmosphere.
We seek your kind understanding and support please.
Thank you
