Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) Matriculation Ceremony Date for 2025/2026 has been Announced.

Rivers State University (RSU) has officially released details for its 44th Matriculation Ceremony, marking the formal induction of fresh students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Date and Time
Wednesday, 28th January 2026 at 9:00 a.m.

Venue
University’s Convocation Arena

The notice was signed by the Acting Registrar, Dr. Idanyingi F. Daminabo.

Collection of Academic Gowns

  • Starts: Friday, 23rd January 2026
  • Location: Respective Faculty Officers
  • Mandatory for all registered fresh students

Requirements to collect the gown

  • Evidence of payment of Acceptance Fee and other mandatory charges
  • Two recent passport photographs
  • Printed copy of the online admission letter
  • Valid residential address and phone number

Return of Academic Gowns
All matriculating students must return their gowns on or before Friday, 30th January 2026.

Penalties for late return

  • ₦5,000 per day for up to one week after the deadline
  • After one week: Student portal will be deactivated
  • Portal reactivation requires a non-negotiable penalty of ₦10,000

The ceremony formally admits new students into the university community. The management wishes all matriculants a pleasant and peaceful ceremony.
