Twin sisters Ariana and Briana Straughter graduated as co-valedictorians from Madison High School, earning full-ride scholarships to Southern Illinois University, where they will pursue nursing and arts education, respectively.


Ariana and Briana Straughter, twin sisters, graduated as the top students from Madison High School in Illinois, USA, earning full-ride scholarships to Southern Illinois University.
The twins, who achieved the same grade point average, made history as the district’s first co-valedictorians.
Reflecting on their success, they shared that motivating and supporting each other throughout high school was key to their accomplishment.
During their commencement speech, they encouraged their fellow graduates to never give up. Their grandfather, Jerry Straughter, praised their dedication, while their principal, Terrien Fennoy, commended their focus and hard work.
Ariana will pursue nursing, and Briana will study arts education at university.
