UI Accommodation Fees

The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has opened the portal for payment of accommodation fees for newly admitted students.We will also show you the accommodation fees, and how to apply for UI hostel accommodation.

The Student Affairs Division of the University of Ibadan (UI) has announced the opening of applications for accommodation in the undergraduate Halls of Residence for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

LATEST UPDATE: UI accommodation update for fresh students


The University is aware of the challenges you are experiencing on the Accommodation Module of the UI Portal (https//studentportal.ui.edu.ng/login). Efforts are being made to resolve them promptly

Kindly be informed that:

1. The Halls of Residence will receive only fresh students from Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 March 2026.

2. Fresh students who have challenges paying Hall Fees and Hall Dues should please be patient. We are working to resolve all hitches

3. Only students who have been allocated rooms online will be attended to in the Halls of Residence. Please wait until you have completed the process, and you have printed your Room Allocation Sheet and ID Card before coming to claim a space in the Hall of Residence.

4. Be rest assured that there is a bedspace for every fresh student who pays the Hall Fees and Hall Dues. Kindly wait to be allocated a room before coming to claim your space in the Hall of Residence.

Payment and Room Allocation

Once an application is approved by the Hall Warden, the applicant’s status will change from “Registered” to “Accepted.” Students are then required to pay their Hall Fee and Basic Hall Dues through the university portal.

Payment of Basic Hall Dues is compulsory, while Optional Hall Dues are at the discretion of the student. Upon confirmation of payment, the status will change to “Paid,” and a room will be assigned by the Hall Warden.

Students are expected to print their Accommodation Slip and Hall Identity Card in colour. Room keys will only be issued upon presentation of these documents.
